After Christmas we will remodel and the Drinkhouse will move to the Steakhouse, and vice versa. The new Drinkhouse will be a big, lively place with a spacious bar, pool table, darts, live artists in the casual atmosphere you’ve come to expect from us. And your favorite steak? That one stays, of course, in a cozy new restaurant full of Piet de Leeuw-character.

No steak changed since 1949
The cozy Steakhouse Piet de Leeuw is traditionally found on Noorderstraat in the center of Amsterdam, just steps from Rembrandtplein and the Heineken Experience. Since January 2024 Steakhouse Piet de Leeuw can be found in Muiden, right next to the lock, and in May of the same year we proudly opened our third location in picturesque Monnickendam.
Steakhouse Piet de Leeuw has built a solid reputation for its legendary steak and bread since 1949. Nowadays we also welcome other meat and fish dishes to our menu, our kitchen is known for delivering exquisite meals prepared with care.

Whether you are in Amsterdam or here with us in Monnickendam, our real Mokum humor remains unchanged and there is no room for unnecessary fuss.
Our interior breathes authenticity with the wooden furniture, characteristic floorboards and shiny beer pumps. Jenever jars still adorn the paneling, while the ceiling is adorned by oil paintings, stained-glass windows and wrought-iron lamps. A number of paintings and numerous photographs of guests who once found companionship at Piet de Leeuw’s place fill the walls.
